PRIVACY POLICY

None intentionally. Indexwhy is a stateless diagnostic tool. It has no database, no user accounts, no analytics service, and no tracking scripts.
The URL you enter is sent to the Indexwhy API endpoint (/api/check) via a POST request. The Worker receives it, fetches the target URL as a crawler would, analyses the response, and returns the result. The URL is not stored, logged, or retained after the response is delivered. It exists only in the memory of the request handler for the duration of that single request.
Your browser stores exactly one value:
indexwhy-theme — your light/dark mode preference, so the theme persists across visits.This value is set only when you toggle the theme button. It is not used for tracking, profiling, or analytics. You can clear it at any time through your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data.
Indexwhy sets no HTTP cookies. The theme preference is stored in the browser's localStorage API, which is not accessible to the server.
Indexwhy does not embed third-party scripts, fonts (beyond Google Fonts, loaded directly from Google's servers), analytics, advertising, or social-media widgets. The Google Fonts CSS and font files are requested from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com; Google's privacy policy governs those requests.
No personal data is collected, so none is shared, sold, or transferred. The URLs you check are processed on the server and discarded. No logs containing URLs or IP addresses are retained.
The site is served over HTTPS. API requests are processed by a Cloudflare Worker with no persistent storage. The Worker has no access to credentials, databases, or secrets.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the new date. Because there are no user accounts, no notification is possible.
