Indexwhy is a product of Agen2ic, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. These terms govern your use of the service.

What Indexwhy is

Indexwhy is a stateless diagnostic tool. It accepts a single URL via a POST request, fetches that URL, analyses the response for mechanisms that would prevent or weaken search engine indexing, and returns an ordered list of findings. It has no database, no user accounts, no cron jobs, no billing system, and no email sender.

Acceptable use

You may use Indexwhy to check any URL that you own or have permission to fetch. You agree not to:

Use Indexwhy to probe URLs you do not have authorisation to access
Send abusive, excessive, or systematically automated requests that would harm the service's operation or the target site
Use Indexwhy as part of a security scanning, vulnerability research, or enumeration toolchain without the target site owner's explicit consent
Misrepresent the tool's output as a guarantee of search engine ranking (the tool says so itself, but the prohibition is repeated here)

No stored data

Indexwhy does not store URLs, results, or any personal data. Each request is processed in isolation. The Workers runtime may retain transient logs for operational purposes (Cloudflare's standard logging), but these are not accessible to the operator and are not retained beyond Cloudflare's standard data retention period.

Service availability

Indexwhy is provided "as is" without any warranty of uptime, accuracy, or suitability for any particular purpose. The underlying Cloudflare Workers platform has its own reliability characteristics; this tool inherits them. The operator may suspend or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

Accuracy of results

Indexwhy reports what it observes from a single HTTP fetch. A page may appear indexable to this tool while being excluded from a search index for reasons this tool does not check — JavaScript-dependant content, manual spam actions, duplicate content penalties, or algorithmic filtering. Conversely, a page flagged as blocking may still be indexed if a search engine chooses to ignore the directive (rare, but possible for canonical or nofollow directives). The tool is a diagnostic aid, not an oracle.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator disclaims all liability for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service. Because no accounts exist and no payment is collected, the maximum liability, in any event, is zero.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The "Last updated" date will reflect the change. Because there are no user accounts, no individual notice is possible. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
